Research Results on Waste Recycling
The Nordplus project “Circular economy” has brought
together students from Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania to participate for
tracking waste for one week to raise awareness about sustainability. Before the
project in Tallinn, all students filled in the table honestly for a week, which
contains food leftovers, plastic, paper, glass, clothes and electronics. During
the activity in Tallinn, we were Divided into groups with members from
different Baltic countries and discussed the results. By comparing the tables,
we noticed many similarities. For example, the sorted paper and plastic numbers
were very alike and all Baltic countries sort bottles in special terminals,
but there was very little electronic sorted. As a result, all of us had a
great opportunity to rethink our actions.
